The ESCP Business Schools sits in the beautiful suburb of West Hampstead. The building dates back to the late 1800s with a magnificent timber framed roof of 13m oak trusses. AMP were engaged to survey the existing structure as part of a refurbishment to the roof.
The survey included a review of the existing condition, the existing structural arrangement and sizes of the members present. This informed a full design analysis of the roof structure under the proposed loads associated with the upgrades alongside a set of repair details.
Guidance was also delivered on the temporary loads and construction sequence to ensure the integrity of the existing timber structure was compromised.
