Domestic Clients
Major projects to your home can be daunting. We’re here to give you peace of mind that the structural alterations are designed robustly and in line with all relevant codes and standards.
Structural Engineers have a wide-ranging scope of expertise. Here at AMP Structures, we are specialists in buildings.
We focus on keeping building structures upright, stable and safe. This is a far-reaching scope and can include anything from the design of completely new buildings, extensions and renovations of existing buildings, or remedial works following structural damage such as cracking or subsidence.
Generally, a structural engineer is appointed by the property owner once an architectural design has been compiled. However, every project is different, and many don’t require an architect. So whatever stage your project is at, please get in touch and we can advise on how our structural expertise can aid your build project.
At AMP Structures, all design work is completed and checked by Chartered Engineers and so you can be safe in the knowledge that your project is in expert hands.
We produce design drawings for contractors to build from, alongside a structural calculation package for submission to Building Control and other parties for approval.
If required, the design package can include Party Wall drawings for use in a Party Wall Agreement.
We can also provide structural survey reports associated with the purchase or sale of a property, most commonly where a building survey has recommended a Structural Engineer be consulted.

Commercial Clients
We work with architects, developers, project managers and contractors. Providing design, drawings, specifications, surveys or just some initial high-level advice.
Providing a personable service to our clients and bringing a ‘solution focus’ to projects and relationships is always top of our agenda. Being a small team, we’re able to be nimble in our design and delivery, providing flexibility that won’t be found at larger organisations. This allows us to produce designs at relatively short notice, and to stay cost-efficient, without compromising on the end solution.
We have listened to developers, architects and contractors closely and looked to integrate their feedback into our business model. This means avoiding over-specification and delivering information which is laced with caveats and small print. Our drawing standards have been developed to display designs with extreme clarity to prevent unnecessary complexity, or confusion, on site.
