The scheme involved construction of a new build five-storey block of student accommodation.
Various structural solutions were employed including cold-formed steel frames, masonry construction, precast concrete floors, RC ‘strong floor’ and frame, beam and block ground floor and a piled foundation scheme.
The site was a challenging one with below ground structures, connections to neighbouring structures and a nearby canal.
