AMP Structures were appointed to design an extension to the large portal framed shed at this distribution warehouse alongside a new build canopy structure for vehicle loading.

The works included design of the steel frame, foundations and floor slabs, coordinated with Network Rail adjacent to their embankment and designed to Constrado to protect against fire collapses towards the tracks. 

Coordination with drainage, racking suppliers and working around existing sub-structural elements was critical on this tight site.
