The project involved the construction of a new build two-storey house plus basement under. The basement consisted of a large open top concrete box, constructed with a ‘cut and fill’ dig with cantilevered concrete retaining walls.
An internal steel frame allowed for the creation of expansive internal spaces to suit the modern open plan layout.
AMP provided superstructure and substructure design alongside reinforcement detail drawings, steel work connection detailing, coordination with the waterproofing specialist and structural calculations.
As basements slowly become more popular in the Midlands with increases in property value, we are proud to offer experienced basement design in a relatively fledgling market.
