About
In Shirley, South Birmingham sits this 1800s brick barn. Originally constructed as a Victorian abattoir, this barn was transformed into a modern 3-bed dwelling, making great use of the limited space available and extending in materials that compliment its original red brick.
AMP provided the structural design for the new build and refurbishment elements alongside a completely new below ground drainage system. This is a great example of how historic buildings can re-purposed and their lives extended well in the future, making use of spaces and materials already in existence. This is a great passion of ours at AMP and one we are experts in realising.
