This dilapidated collection of 5 retail units were extended out to the rear, and had a completely new basement constructed across the entire site footprint.
The main challenge in this project were the site constraints – situated on a busy high street, with flats above (which remained in use throughout the works), and a very tight site.
The key to this project was careful sequencing, minimising temporary works through effective permanent works design and constant communication with the contractor.
