About
Coventry City Council carried out a large volume of public realm works in the lead up to City of Culture 2021. This included a revamp of the Upper Precinct retail quarter with demolition of existing structures, installation of new supporting structure and replacement of balustrades, lighting columns and steel facias on the original 1960s walkways. AMP provided structural design for these elements including structural steel design and detailing of alterations to decorative steelwork.
AMP were also appointed in a watching brief during the construction to ensure unexpected findings associated with the refurbishment could be dealt with quickly, and in a manor that did not delay the build. Our ability to act quickly and deliver small tweaks to the design at very short notice was critical in the successful delivery of the project.
We are very proud to represent Coventry City Council and to lay our name alongside the delivery of a highly visual and beautiful construction project
